Netflix Expands NFL Streaming Partnership for 2026

Netflix is significantly expanding its relationship with the National Football League by securing a new five-game package beginning with the 2026 NFL season. The updated agreement extends through 2029 and marks another major step in Netflix’s push into live sports broadcasting.

Under the new deal, Netflix will stream:

  • A Week 1 international game from Australia
  • A new Thanksgiving Eve matchup
  • Two Christmas Day games
  • A Week 18 regular-season finale game with playoff implications
  • The NFL Honors awards show during Super Bowl week beginning in 2027

The move reflects the NFL’s continued shift toward streaming platforms and standalone game windows, while Netflix continues building its live-event portfolio beyond entertainment and scripted programming. The games will still be available on local broadcast TV in participating team markets.
