Knicks Parade: Essential Details for NYC Fans

The Knicks are NBA Champions, and New York City is celebrating with a parade up the Canyon of Heroes on Thursday, June 18!

📍 PARADE DETAILS
• Starts: 10:00 AM
• Route: Bowling Green → Broadway → City Hall
• Admission: Free and open to the public
• Arrive early! The best viewing spots will fill quickly, and streets along the route will close to pedestrian crossings once the parade begins.

đźš— PARKING
• No parking south of Canal Street beginning 7:00 PM Wednesday.
• Vehicles remaining in restricted areas will be towed.

đźš§ STREET CLOSURES
• Beginning 7:00 AM Thursday, all streets south of Canal Street will be closed to vehicle traffic.
• FDR Drive and West Side Highway remain open.
• Brooklyn Bridge vehicle traffic entering Manhattan will be directed northbound on the FDR.

Closed Stations:

❌ City Hall (R,W)

Open Stations:

The MTA will add service on the A, J, and 1 lines after the parade as needed.

🚆 LIRR & METRO-NORTH
• Additional trains added for the celebration.
• Frequent return service until approximately 2:00 AM.
• Alcohol prohibited on trains and platforms from 5:00 AM Thursday until 5:00 AM Friday.

⛴️ FERRY SERVICE
• NYC Ferry riders should board before 9:00 AM.
• Staten Island Ferry will operate every 15 minutes during peak travel periods.

🎒 SECURITY SCREENING
Screening opens at 6:00 AM.
